An established multinational organisation is seeking a Logistics and Warehouse Assistant Manager to lead and elevate its logistics and warehouse function in Nairobi. The role develops the function in line with the company's values and its local, regional, segment, and corporate objectives and guidelines. Strong leadership is central to this position. The successful candidate is accountable for outcomes across safety, profitability, competitiveness, customer satisfaction, service, and quality. Key Responsibilities Lead the warehouse and logistics team in line with the group's leadership expectations, developing, coaching, and guiding members to ensure a workforce that is competent, engaged, and enabled to meet current and future needs. Implement and monitor procedures and guidelines so that warehouse and logistics activities comply with local laws and regulations, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, the group operations system, and the company's HSEQ management system. Implement, monitor, and enforce the HSEQ management system across the organisation. Initiate, drive, and follow up continuous improvement activities through the group operations system, tracked against agreed KPIs. Run efficient freight and warehouse tenders, and research and recommend cost-effective shipping methods in cooperation with Purchasing. Set transportation operations guidelines, monitor delivery performance, review and approve transportation contracts, and advise on delivery improvements. Work with the customer service, purchasing, and logistics teams to maintain correct stock levels, and arrange stock counts and related activities so that inventory is accurately reflected in the system. Manage warehouse operations including receiving and picking, quality control, and expiry date follow-up. Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing optimal layouts, inspecting equipment, and issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
